Rainbow Franchisees, Jonathan Strong and Paula Griffin, won our Franchisee of the Month award at the end of last year, in recognition of their success and services to their local community. Jonathan and Paula, whose disaster recovery and commercial cleaning business is based at Priory Industrial Estate, Christchurch, beat off strong competition from 85 franchisees in the Rainbow International UK network to win the award.
Jonathan and Paula have invested more than £300,000 in the business including buying the latest thermal imaging equipment for fast and effective leak detection.
Their business, which covers the New Forest and Mid Dorset including Poole and Bournemouth, carries out flood damage restoration,fire restoration and clean-up after accidental damage to homes and businesses across the New Forest and Mid-Dorset including Poole and Bournemouth. It also provides a specialist cleaning service to a wide range of commercial organisations.
They bought the business from Jonathan’s father-in-law on his retirement and within their first year of trading, increased turnover by £150,000 and created stability and a platform for further growth and staff recruitment in the future. Both business partners had already been working in the business for several years – Paula as Company Secretary and Jonathan as Operations Manager
Jonathan said: “We really enjoy coming to the aid of people. During the course of the year we have answered calls from hundreds of householders and businesses who have suffered from flood damage or fire damage and have helped them with contents restoration.
“Its devastating when flood and fire strikes but we have the skills and experience to help restore people’s lives and hopefully ease the trauma of the situation.”
The couple have also won local contracts to provide fast response social housing cleans and specialist cleans for property management companies.
